Points System
The Basis
In an effort to ensure that EVERY club member can enjoy the
benefits of the club to the fullest extent, and distribute the workload evenly,
the following points/awards system has been voted in effect. This points system is a simple way to
ensure every member contributes to the goals set
by the members during the January 2004 meeting.
This also gives the members an opportunity to be rewarded for their hard
work in the form of free Winter Party tickets and free (or discounted) dues.
Total points earned in 2006 1600 points
Total members that earned points 54
100 % participation 30 points/person
If everyone does their fair share, then they would need to earn 30 points. Since schedules vary, not everyone can participate at 100%, and life member involvement, and “I am a nice guy”, I have set a minimum goal of 25 points. Remember, this is the minimum, optimal is 30 points.
How does it work?
Dues will be set to $150. You, as a non life member, will be
expected to earn 25 points during the calendar year. At that point you have
“earned” your following years membership, and your dues balance will be
extinguished. If you do not earn 25
points throughout the year, your dues will be prorated at $6/point. For example, if you only
earn 10 points ($60 credit), your dues will be $90. You may sign up for work detail during any
meeting, sending an
email to Bob (YAMADOGS@aol.com), Simply let me know how you would like to
contribute to the club and when. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU WILL
BE PENALIZED POINTS FOR SIGNING UP AND NOT fulfilling your obligation!
What if I earn in excess of 25 points?
You can earn points towards your Winter Party tickets and
achievement awards. If you achieve 15
additional points, your Winter Party tickets is
FREE! This is an all or nothing
proposition. If you only earn 14
additional points, you must pay full price for your tickets.
What if I am a Life Member?
You are encouraged to participate and are not factored in to
the annual dues. Your points will be
applied directly to the Winter Party and Achievement awards. Earn only 15 points during the year and your
winter party tickets are free!
What is an Achievement Award?

end achievement awards are as follows:
Top points earner Two Roundtrip airfare and tickets to ANY Supercross event
AND Man of the Year!! (max. $750)
2nd thru 5th place points earners Two Arenacross tickets and dinner certificate. (max. $100)
As we are a motorcycle club and are competitive by nature, I anticipate that this can be a fun competition with a rewarding payoff.
